Sunday Best (The Creative Closet Link-Up)

My mom gets every child (and child in-law) an Easter outfit and a Christmas outfit each year. For as long as I can remember (and even before that) my mom and I have gone shopping for Easter and Christmas dresses together. We spent a two different shopping trips trying to find an Easter outfit for me. I wanted something springy, flattering, and something versatile. I also wanted something that I could comfortably chase a toddler around church in.

We found the perfect skirt and it happens to be floral. I'm linking up with The Creative Closet today for their Fabulous Florals prompt, because this skirt is truly a new favorite!

 Entire Outfit from JC Penney:
Shirt, Skirt, Jacket-Old (Similar), Shoes-Old (Similar)

The second I picked out the skirt my mom said exactly what I was thinking, "You can wear your pink heels with that!" Another win!

Necklace: Handmade--Tutorial coming!

I paired the skirt with a basic black top. It's flattering with just enough detail to make it feel dressy and feminine. It's still a bit chilly (for me anyway) and I decided at the last minute to throw on a denim jacket--which has become a go-to for me lately. It helps make an outfit come together and honestly it really does great things for flattering my figure.

What are your must haves for a good springtime skirt?
